There is a television program going on right now about the business of shopping. It reports that when women go shopping, it takes almost three hours to complete the average shopping trip. The women stations report that they have to spend over forty minutes shopping and this does not include the time it takes to actually get the shopping done. The report also reports on the amount of gasoline used for a shopping trip of one hour, the gas usually used for shipping, and the toll on the earth for creating so many shopping bags.
Can we really live without shopping? Well, the answer is certainly yes, but we could still do without the mass production of goods. In order to survive in today’s global economy, people need to get the same products and services, whether they are needed or not, from the sources they call home. It is important for them to be able to support their families and make ends meet. It is their home and family that they need to support in order to get out of the woods; to survive in the city life.
To survive in the city, many people today have cut back on their spending. They have less disposable income and little left to spend on luxury goods. For the most part, life goes on and on. As man now has time to do other things, such as thinking about his wife, children, and about his job, the focus really is on how he will survive, what is the first thing he will think of if he is laid off, and what is he is going to do. Survival, in these days of mass unemployment, is a different consideration than it was two weeks ago. The fact that people are going without food, that almost all of the stores are closed, and that there is no more money in their pockets does not make the situation any better.
Because of this, more people are using the Emergency relieved fund. Because of the economic turmoil, people are scared stiff. They do not know what is coming ahead. They could lose their jobs, they could lose their homes, and their families. In the end, self-reliance is becoming more and more important. As people become more aware of their needs, their ability to provide for themselves becomes stronger.
There are a lot of reasons people need to have readily available assistance in times of need. Money is self-Reliance. Health is another concern. With the government shrinking, people are worried about their health insurance. They cannot afford to go into debt to finance their insurance because of tightened credit.
The Self-Reliance Concept
The Government is stepping in to the self-reliance debate. mandating that people have health coverage. Some people say that it is an ridiculous requirement and that it goes against the founding principles of America. But Regardless of their thoughts, the Affordable Health Care Act is going to require people to purchase health coverage. Some people say that this is another form of government over-reach. The majority of people said that they would like nothing more than to keep themselves out of debt. But for the overwhelmed health coverage, this is definitely a problem.
The concept of individual responsibility is strongly etched in theanners’ philosophy. The blame will be on many shoulders. The individual will bear the blame, individually, as he or she purchasing decisions. These decisions need to be made, in large part, by the individual in order to balance out the risk and truly meet the need during these financially troubled times. Now, does that mean that each and every purchase made is also a reflection of the character of the buyer?
The survey found that while most people were happy following a grocery list, only 28 percent of those surveyed were “very happy” with their shopping situation. Another alarming fact about the survey finding is that nearly half of those who were “very happy” with their shopping situation did not buy anything at all. So, it seems that there is a large percentage of people out there who do not follow shopping instructions.
The survey also found that nearly two-thirds of those surveyed said that they were looking for ways to save money while more than half of those who were looking for ways to save money did make weight savings promises. When savings promises were broken, 42 percent of those surveyed said that it was due to unavailability of the item. So, it seems that the availability or non-availability of an item plays a huge role in the purchase decision of weight loss products.
When asked about specific brands, 60 percent of those surveyed said Acai for weight loss.ham steakare the most popular weight loss products. Other popular products, included in the survey were green products (such as herbs and plants such as aloe vera, which act as antioxidants), microwave ovens, single-cup coffee makers, and organic clothing.
The survey also discovered that only 25 percent of the consumers used coupons, vs.
