I really think shopping has changed beyond belief in the last few years. I mean, there are so many different things now available for the taking. Gold rings, cell phones, furniture, washing machines, cars, whatever it might be- there’s plenty to go around. And, the food situation I now see with theuminum residents packaging…
You know what I mean ladies and gentlemen. Food for the last century or so was simple. Cut out the bar code, write your price and poof, done.
With shipping costs into the mix now, and the Internet taking on an ever increasing grip on the average household, what was once a fairly straightforward process has seen the gateways to the super market becoming a minefield. Now the package you order for your 50 pound freezer Contigo Extra Large is actually handled by somebody in Ireland. The color of the box is purple. The description for the product says “This fridge/freezer is very powerful and durable”. The pint that it contains is 15cl. Are you picturing this fridge up on Amazon.com?
By the way this fridge is listed for 4.7 cents. Pretty crazy right? But that’s the thing about coupons. They not only save you money on the item itself, they also save you money on shipping. And if by “saving you money on shipping” you mean that your own gas isn’t used either, then you’re doing pretty well for yourself.
In this day and age where everything is becoming mechanized, why would manual labor ever be necessary in our lives? Why would it even matter if we had to pay someone to move the box from our house to the one next to it, when that cut we make out of our pay check to afford shipping is our money that we earn. Saving money on something we can both do without and that helps everyone in our family. I don’t know about you but I would much rather “make it” with an hour of my time, than to spend thirty minutes more and be at the computer for that hour.
Not only is the Internet great for finding bargains by visiting auction sites and such, but it’s also great for trip planning. Let’s say that you and your family are planning a 3 day trip to Disney World. You decide that instead of renting a car you’ll just use your collective skills to get you and your kids to the theme parks. There are of course a few places that you can go to Disney World, but how are we going to pack? You have a big truck, but plan on driving it there. Or what about if you only have a small truck, what are we going to pack? Icy bags and milk cartons will do very little to keep the items in place.
In the beginning when we kids were young we used to go to The Disney Store. The clerk in the store was always our constant companion. Something we would want to buy. The stores stock almost every conceivable object that we will ever need. You can buy things in this store that are not on the list that you currently have in your purse, or backpack.
If something unfortunate happens, say you lost your camera in the toilet, you could have your photo remade at a photo lab. You can have your photo remade and then have it printed at Photoshop.
I know that you like to read travel books. One that we used to read was how to avoid frauds while buying. This is a very good book if you want to be more careful.
There are websites that are entirely devoted to helping you out. With the exception of gas stations, they will almost always suggest a more expensive plan than the one that is the least expensive. For example, it is far more expensive to drive to Walmart than it is to gas up to convince the driver to change a registration.
If you are willing to take this time to think about it, you can save a lot of money. The only problem that most people have with this is that it takes up a lot of your valuable time.
More often than not, you will discover that because of the lack of time, you are neglecting something that you could be doing a lot of to help the environment. You will realize that you could easily save a lot of money by organizing a recycling event. You can help keep the world beautiful and clean. Check outhttp://www.greenpeoplecoalition.organd see if you can bag several along the way.
Another thing is that you might be able to help manufacture a pair of shoes. It is often far easier to make a few pair than it is to make a pair. There are even some people that have managed to get Vans following a recycling event. This is simply because people are busy and do not have time to create a new pair of footwear.
