Craigslist.com Snow blowing practice field test report:

I have been asked to test a few round-up runs of theCor Triumph AT-86C-C11, before it leaves for the winter. The street version of this compact, but fast, snow blower was purchased by a private customer a few weeks ago, and I got my first opportunity to use it this past weekend. As per the field test procedure adopted by the club, I was towing a full-sized 55 pound bag of soil in the back of the truck. The main factor to consider was the aerodynamic properties of the machine. I was attempting to pull a full power Grainger contracted snow blower with 15 inch width of the blade.

The first run of the day was at lunchtime, when the wind was at about 10 mph and the sun was high in the sky. The machine was working fine, producing a little bit of dusty trail as I have in the past with unprotected snow. After two hours of pushing the machine harder and harder, I had developed a small dot of ice in the upper heel. This was without the blade, which was handling fine as was equipped with the optional ice gun. Having a full-sized 55-pound bag of soil to push was a little more difficult, as the machine was in good shape and had a belt life. I estimates a little over 1000 hours, so I would say it was possible to achieve a 10-12 hour run for the average user.

After lunch I decided to see how the Razor could handle some real ice-out conditions. By now the sun was setting in and the driveway had started to fill with cars and people returning to their homes after a day of fun in the sun. With the trailer packed to the brim with ice it was coming home I decided to take the machine on a test run. With the trailer loaded with 10 inch snow, I tried putting the trailer in reverse and driving it down the driveway. Surprisingly the machine ran like clock work and kept right on and off the road. Perfect run all around the neighborhood as I have several times during the day. I have now been using the Razor almost every day and have had no problems with it. Several times I have been able to clear a path that had several inches of snow in the front and back. I am now considering purchasing a larger model to outfit my garage with.

I have found the separator to be effective and have used it onough mulching and edging. The fact that you can use it as a sweeper is also a plus.
